On the first day of the meeting, after the general introduction of the project, presentations by the partners were made. This was followed by detailed sessions on communication and visibility rules, project implementation rules, and financial management. These sessions not only shared key information about the project but also provided the necessary frameworks for ensuring the smooth management and financial processes for the project’s successful progress.
The LAP BLACK project is of great significance as a cross-border partnership aimed at strengthening local climate change response capacities in the Black Sea Basin. The main goal of the project is to emphasize the importance of local intervention and cooperation while creating a sustainable and climate-resilient region. Specific objectives include the formation of adaptation teams, development of Local Adaptation Plans, creation of pilot applications, monitoring and updating of Local Adaptation Plans, and ensuring stakeholder participation to raise awareness and spread the project's results.
The communication strategies aim to raise awareness about the project, encourage active participation from stakeholders, disseminate the results widely, and promote best practices. Throughout this process, strong collaboration among all partners will create an effective and sustainable model for combating climate change in the Black Sea Basin, serving as an example for solving environmental issues in the region.
The LAP BLACK project is designed to be a powerful tool in helping local governments in the Black Sea region become more resilient to climate change. This important project will create lasting impacts in addressing environmental issues in the region and contribute to the widespread adoption of climate-friendly infrastructures.
